PQHack is an exciting quantum hackathon aimed at the quantum computing community in Portugal—it will take place February 8 and 9 in Porto, Portugal
YQuantum is Yale's premier quantum computing hackathon and another stop on the Circuit. It will be taking place in person at Yale, April 12-13, 2025
The 13th Annual NYUAD International Hackathon for Social Good is in Abu Dhabi, April 25-27. It will focus on quantum computing and AI supporting quantum computing, while expanding the global reach of IQC25
Bitcamp is the University of Maryland's premier hackathon, bringing together over 1,400 students, making it the largest collegiate hackathon on the East Coast. It’s happening this April—more details soon
IQC25 will culminate October 10-12 at QuantathonV2 in Columbia, SC, at the Darla Moore School of Business at USC. This will be the year's circuit championship, an in-person quantum hackathon. Attendees are encouraged to join us on the evening of October 9 for early check-in and an exciting networking event with peers and quantum industry and academic partners
More announcements will follow throughout the year
IQC25 is focused on practical quantum applications, equitable talent development, and building a resilient global quantum ecosystem through partnerships. Through a circuit of international quantum hackathons and additional virtual and in-person opportunities, IQC25 will raise the profile of quantum technology and build community around this important emerging technology. We’re making quantum real for everyone.
Bridging innovation, collaboration, and real-world quantum application.
IQC25 emphasizes deep collaboration and equitable growth in the global quantum landscape. It aims to strengthen the global quantum ecosystem by fostering novel partnerships and focusing on practical use cases in areas such as workplace optimization, cybersecurity, and economic development.
QuantathonV1 demonstrated the transformative power of hackathons. These competitors are future collaborators who will shape our quantum landscape, launch innovative companies, create jobs, and lead world-changing projects.
— Joe Queenan, Executive Director of SC Quantum and Qllianse
At the championship quantum hackathon in the Fall in South Carolina, participants will compete for prizes, computing resources, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, they will contribute their solutions to an open archive, preserving the initiative’s long-term impact.
Technology partners such as qBraid and IonQ highlight the challenge’s role in driving innovation and fostering partnerships across academic institutions, industry, and government.
Innovative solutions developed through collaboration advance the field of quantum. We’re excited to partner once again with SC Quantum and other industry leaders through the International Quantum Challenge.
— Kanav Setia, CEO of qBraid
IonQ, a leading quantum computing company, emphasized the initiative’s potential to enhance the Southeast’s role in the global quantum landscape.
This effort builds upon our successful 2024 Quantathon partnership and aligns with our plans to expand into a larger event in 2025.
— Philip Farah, VP of Enterprise and Strategic Partnerships at IonQ
Watch this space throughout 2025 for more information and happenings in the inaugural International Quantum Circuit (IQC25). Quantum is happening; together, we’re building a global quantum community for all.
